On February 24, Gothia Forum is inaugurating a new PTC (Primary Care Trial Center) unit,  in Skövde. There is already a PTC entity established in Gothenburg and the addition in Skövde will meet the need for research support to primary health centers in Skaraborg region. So far PTC Skövde has established collaboration with eight health centers, but are open to more.

PTC is a professional research facility whith the mission to establish, based on need, PTC clinics in cooperation with primary health centers across  Region Västra Götaland. The goal is to increase the number of clinical trials across the region.

PTC provides support to conduct clinical trials through a modern infrastructure support with well-adapted facilities and research trained personnel.This means that primary health centers can effectively participate in clinical trials and offer their patients to participate in research without having to use facilities or resources intended for routine medical care.
